LICHELE WHITE
Lead Clinician & Owner
Lichele Billups is the owner of Rooted in Recovery Therapeutic Services, LLC (2020). She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia State University and her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has devoted her career to addressing substance abuse, community services, and therapy services utilizing a compassionate and genuine approach. Lichele is fueled by her passion for being able to support others in their time of need and considers herself just “doing what needs to be done”. Lichele is eager to build on her educational, personal, and professional experiences and goals.
Krystal Cromwell
LPC
Krystal Cromwell was born and raised in New York and obtained a B.S. in Pre-Med Biology as well as a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. She has worked in the mental health field servicing children, teens, and adults.
In addition to outpatient therapy, she has experience with crisis management services, mental health skill building, and intensive in-home services. Krystal works collaboratively with individuals to create the changes they want to see in their lives. She strongly believes that client-centered services work best to assist individuals in developing the skills necessary to remove barriers to emotional and personal growth.
Kristen Owens
LCSW
Kristen Owens was educated at Virginia State University with a major in Sociology and continued her academic career to receive a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has a background working with children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics, providing therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and/or family psychotherapy with a variety of mental health diagnosis. Kristen believes that change happens when people are given the support they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives. She approaches both therapy and assessments as healing processes, helping to answer deep-rooted questions that individuals have abut themselves and/or loved ones.
Taylor Lee
LCSW
Taylor Lee currently holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and is in pursuit of earning her LCSW. She has over nine years of experience working with children, adults, and older adults. Taylor is passionate and uses various therapeutic framework techniques and strategies to empower others to work through life challenges, both past and present, to enhance overall quality of life. Taylor loves working with older adults and has experience in assisting with adjustment issues. Taylor is eager to be a supportive resource and confidential soundboard to aid anyone on their journey.
